There are many different types of drill grinding machines used in the machining industry today. This unit will concentrate on the Darex drill grinding machine. The Darex drill grinding machine will sharpen drills from 1/16 inch to 3/4 inch in diameter. The Darex drill grinder uses a collet chuck method of holding the drill (Figure 2). This Darex drill grinding machine will sharpen both cutting lips in one motion, assuring that both lip lengths are equal. Includes keyless chuck (capacity 0.5 - 3.2mm). A precision ball bearing minimises spindle side play. Spindle lock button for bit changing obviates the need for spanners.
